Historic Stevens Point is an innovative digital public history initiative, established by lhistoic preservation activist and local historian, Chelsey S. Pfiffner.
Pfiffner is as a public historian and storyteller, offering a unique perspective on the history of her hometown. She is a direct descendant of Edward Julius Pfiffner, a prominent figure in the town’s history, and brings a personal touch to her work.
With a focus on preserving the community’s heritage and cultural landscape through active engagement, advocacy, and sometimes direct activism Pfiffner has made it her mission to share her research on Stevens Point. Because of her deep connection to the city’s past and love for history, she strives to keep the memory of the some of Point’s lesser known pioneers alive for future generations.
